The United Kingdom (UK) has authorized more than $100 billion, with annual spending of $4-5 billion over several decades, for decommissioning and clean-up of UK’s 20 civil public sector nuclear sites. In its goal to further business opportunities for its members, The Energy, Technology and Environmental Business Association (ETEBA) is partnering with the United Kingdom to sponsor a nuclear cleanup conference. 

Workshop Objectives:

  • Facilitate communications and partnerships between U.S. and U.K companies involved in nuclear cleanup
  • Discuss the realities of global diversification
  • Review the mechanisms for doing work in the UK
  • Present overview of UK nuclear cleanup operations
  • Exchange technical and management innovations
  • Explore trans-Atlantic partnership with National Skills Academy for Nuclear
