Our speaker will be Buzz Patrick, the Director for Advanced Manufacturing at Tech 2020. The meeting will follow the usual format with networking beginning at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 and the program at 7:00.
Mr. Patrick will present information on the AMP! Project. A $2.4 million grant to establish the Advanced Manufacturing and Prototyping Center of East Tennessee (AMP!) was announced late 2012 by its funding agencies. Led by Tech 20/20, in partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Pellissippi State and the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services, the grant will serve a 20-county area spanning East Tennessee.
Buzz Patrick is the Director, Advanced Manufacturing for Tech 20/20, and a degreed mechanical engineer from Michigan Technological University. His background spans 20 years in various capacities of commercial manufacturing, including two Fortune 500 companies, Harley-Davidson Motor Company and Fortune Brands. Recently, as Chief Operating Officer, Patrick led Omega Technical Services through a growth and expansion of professional capabilities. Patrick joined Tech 20/20 in October of 2012 to lead AMP!
