The ETEBA Education Committee is offering the opportunity for companies and Government employees to attend a workshop provided by Waste Control Specialists, LLC (WCS). The workshop is an orientation on the upcoming opening of the WCS Federal Waste Facility Mixed Low-Level Waste disposal facility. The workshop will provide the resources needed to understand WCS’ Waste Acceptance Criteria, how to become a certified generator, and how to develop waste profiles. There is no charge for this training, which will be held February 8th from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the ORT-E/EnergX Training Center (Commerce Park); 1000 Clearview Court; Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Current Training Opportunities offered by ETEBA Members
The Oak Ridge Business Safety Partnership is sponsoring two Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification Exam Preparatory Classes. The training will be Wednesday, February 8, and Thursday, February 9, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the AVISCO office, 1005 Clarence Larsen Drive, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Participants have the option to receive certification at the conclusion of the training for an additional charge if they so desire. The instructor is Rick Callor, Safety Training Director, URS Corporation, Boise, Idaho. Rick is the Corporate Safety Training Director for URS in Boise. STS is administered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). The purpose of the certification is to provide third party validation of an individual’s education/training, experience and demonstrated competence with a body of knowledge by examination.
