ETEBA is proud to partner with member companies in offering high school seniors an exciting way to earn cash for college while also learning valuable lessons from hands-on experience through intern and shadow intern positions.  High school graduates enrolled in a full-time undergraduate curriculum at an accredited college, university or technical school by the fall term of 2012 are eligible for this rewarding program.  ETEBA will award scholarships, valued no less than $1,000, which can be applied to tuition, room and board, or books and other fees that may be incurred during the freshman year.

An internship or a shadow internship may also be offered to a scholarship recipient.  Intern positions vary and offer students an opportunity to gain valuable industry experience prior to entering college in their respective field of study. Students can earn a minimum of $250 a week in a variety of positions over the summer prior to entering their freshman year at their selected institution of higher learning. Scholarship monies are paid directly to the school on the student’s behalf and can be used to defray the cost of tuition, books, room and board and fees.

The goal of the Earn & Learn Program is certainly to assist students in meeting first year college expenses but most importantly to offer students an opportunity to experience the world of work while focusing their understanding of the many career paths available to them as they embark upon their college experience.

Applications are normally due by March 31st of each year. Scholarship awards are determined by the ETEBA Education Committee.

Candidates must be pursuing a degree in environmental science, engineering, computer science, mathematics or a science-related field. Please click here to download a pdf of the 2012-2013 scholarship application.
