The next New Mexico Chapter monthly dinner meeting, hosted by Kleinfelder, is set for Thursday, June 14th at the Holiday Inn Suites, 5050 Jefferson NE, Albuquerque NM starting at 5:30 PM. The speaker will be Mr. Rick Van Horn (invited), Senior Vice President, Uranium Resources Inc. His topic will be the uranium industry in the Southwest. Uranium Resources, Inc. (URI) explores for, develops and mines uranium using modern, safe, in-situ mineral recovery methods without the environmental disruption of conventional mining. Since its incorporation in 1977, URI has produced over eight million pounds of uranium in the state of Texas. They also have 183,000 acres of uranium holdings and 101.4 million pounds of in-place mineralized uranium material in New Mexico. Looking to the future, URI plans to supply the long-term, global demand for uranium by using our resource base in Texas and New Mexico, acquiring new assets and through joint ventures or partnerships. Registration for the dinner meeting is $35 for ETEBA members and $45 for non-members.
